Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the AnnaChef iOS app and related services. By using AnnaChef you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Using AnnaChef
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
AI-generated content — important
Recipes, ingredient detections, and nutritional or timing estimates in AnnaChef are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete or incorrect. Always use your own judgment about food safety: check that ingredients are fresh, cook food to safe temperatures, and carefully verify recipes against your own allergies and dietary requirements. AnnaChef is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.
Tailor with Anna. Tailored versions of a recipe and Anna's answers to cooking questions are also AI-generated. Anna only answers questions about cooking the recipe in front of you — technique, timing, substitutions, storage — and will decline anything else, including questions about whether a dish is safe for a medical condition or allergy. Treat substitutions and quantities as suggestions to check, not instructions to trust. Saving a tailored version creates a private copy in your library; the original recipe is never changed.
Your content
You keep ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you create. By posting content publicly you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it within the service. You are responsible for what you post: don't post content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or harmful.
Sharing a recipe by link makes it viewable by anyone who has the link, in the app and on annachef.com, until you turn the link off. Asking for a recipe to be listed submits it for review; if we list it, it appears in Explore, search and other cooks' results, on an indexable page at annachef.com, and other cooks may create their own private, tailored versions of it, which credit you. You can withdraw a recipe from the catalog or turn its link off at any time. We may decline or remove a recipe from the catalog at our discretion.
Importing recipes from links
When you save a link, our server fetches that page on your behalf and turns it into a private copy for your personal use. You are responsible for what you import and for having the right to use it. Imported recipes can be shared by link, but cannot be listed publicly in Explore. Rights holders who want a copy removed can write to annachefapp@gmail.com and we will take it down. Using Anna
Your messages to Anna are logged and may be reviewed by our team to improve the service (see the Privacy Policy). Use the chat for cooking. Don't use it to submit unlawful or abusive content, to attempt to change how Anna works, or to extract content unrelated to the recipe; we may limit or suspend access to Anna for misuse.
Community rules and moderation
- You can report objectionable content or users from within the app, and block users whose content you don't want to see.
- We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, at our discretion.
- There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior.
Fair use
AI-powered features (scanning, recipe generation, and tailoring or asking Anna) share a daily fair-use limit. We may adjust these limits to keep the service reliable for everyone.
Termination
You may stop using AnnaChef and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
Disclaimers and liability
AnnaChef is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated recipes. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
